Privacy & visitor analytics

This portfolio uses optional first-party analytics to understand which pages visitors find useful. When enabled, it records the page path, time, referring website hostname, broad device category and clicks on the CV download button.

A random browser identifier is kept in local storage for up to 90 days. The server stores a keyed hash of that identifier to estimate unique browsers across visits. This does not identify a person: different devices and browsers may count separately. Analytics records are retained for up to 90 days in Upstash Redis.

The analytics application does not store raw IP addresses, full referring URLs, query strings, names, email addresses or browsing activity on other sites. The hosting provider processes network requests to deliver the website and may maintain its own operational logs.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected. You can also disable optional analytics below. This removes the browser identifier and stops future events from this browser; aggregate counts already recorded are not removed. Admin pages and authenticated administrator visits are excluded from analytics.
